NOW’s Exchanges programme continues to work with a number of Nottingham and the UK’s leading creative companies. Designers and architects Wolfgang and Heron have been working on a prototype of a modern version of the pin-hole camera, with a view (sorry for the pun) on how we can look again at the built environment that surrounds us.
Fiona Heron has recently presented us with a working model, and we now have some piccies of one very fine looking prototype for you to look at – certainly not your bog standard cardboard-box-type-pin-hole. All those of you into Lomography and other arcane arts of the non-digital age, maybe here’s a new toy to play with? Not just a pin-hole, but re-usable and with adjustable depth of focus too.
Keep checking this site, as we’ll be arranging an event at which the camera can be launched and explained.
Wolfgang and Heron is a partnership between two- and three-dimensional artists and designers with linked philosophies and skills: Wolfgang Buttress (BA Hons) and Fiona Heron (MSc, MA, MLI). They create works of fine art, sculpture and furniture for public and private buildings, gardens and open spaces. Corporate clients have included Delancy Estates, Heals, Paul Smith and Next.
