We really do spoil you. After the success of Alan’s Death Disco in 2003, he’s begged us to come back and entertain you with his new show! The idea for Rock N Roll Promz came to Alan whilst onstage DJing at Glastonbury this year. Alan was the last person onsite playing music and with the tent bursting at the seams the organisers decided it was time to turn the volume down for safety reasons.
But...when the volume went down the crowds started a euphoric mass sing–a –long, creating an amazing atmosphere which Alan instantly picked up on, and in keeping with the mood reached into his record box for more classic and iconic tunes. Stones, Verve, Beatles, Oasis, Kinks...all taking the crowd higher and higher.
The buzz in the tent was amazing with more and more people joining the celebratory mood. Alan immediately thought why not create that same atmosphere around the UK and so, Rock N Roll Promz was born.
As well as Alan, we’ve got a NOW Festival favourite, Steve Mason. Having entertained you in previous years, Steve is coming back to spin some big records for your enjoyment. The ex Beta Band frontman has been concentrating on his new project, KIng Biscuit Time for the last year and releases his fi rst single C I AM 15 on 29/09/05. Steve assures us that the album is an absolute corker so keep your eyes peeled over the coming months.
As ever, your favourite local DJ’S Badger and Otter will be in attendance and holding the whole night together - bless those woodland animals!
So, a guaranteed great night out, lacking in any pretense or gimmickry... You go, you have a great time, you dance, and you’ll sing your heart out!
